Saint Ann's Gallup Survey

Posted on May 05, 2018 in: General News

How can we best accomplish what God has in mind for us? How can we best use the gifts and talents of the people who are a part of this parish? These are important questions, and we have been wrestling with them for quite some time at Church of Saint Ann of Wadena. To this end, we want to hear from each of you. In the coming weeks, we will conduct Gallup’s Member Engagement (ME25) survey, a census of all adult members of our parish that will give you the opportunity to share your opinions about some of the key aspects of our parish life. The survey will be administered by Gallup, an independent research company ...

GROW IN YOUR FAITH

Posted on November 16, 2017 in: General News

To be sure, using NFP requires sacrifice and patience, but sacrifice and patience are not obstacles to love, they are a part of love itself. Used correctly, NFP forms gentle, generous husbands, and selfless, patient wives. It can become a school of virtuous and holy love. A First Instruction in the Billings Ovulation Method will be offered in: Wadena on Friday, November 24 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Ann’s Church. For more information, or to register, contact Victoria Bulcher at vbulcher@saintan...

“This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15) Jesus fully reveals God’s plan for us. From the beginning of the Bible to the arrival of Jesus, God had only slowly revealed himself and his ways to his chosen people, by making promises to them, showing his power, and giving them commandments. Each generation was given a bit more knowledge of whom God is and what he intends for us, with the expectation that they must accept God on his terms. The time of fulfillment meant that no further revelation of God was necessary: Jesus is God&rsquo...

Pastor's Blog: 12-28-2014

Posted on December 23, 2014 in: General News

Dear People of God, This weekend (Dec 27-28) we honor the Holy Family of Jesus and his parents, Mary & Joseph.  The Holy Family are the model of following God's will in practical ways.   We imagine the frustration felt by Joseph and Mary as they tried to find a suitable place for Mary to give birth, only to be left with a cave-stable in Bethlehem. How must it have felt to inadequately provide comfort for God's Son?  Yet, the Lord seemed to show them that he wanted to be born into such poverty.  Accepting this as the Lord's will could not have been easy. Do we accept po...
